Atlanta Chinese Lantern Festival

An unforgettable experience!

I can’t be the only one excited about this! From what I’m reading online it’s a nice walk in the park with a lot of lights. (I don’t know about you but I definitely need to walk my holiday meals off! lol) If we have enough people we can possibly get a discount. Either way, I’m going!

The Georgia World Congress Center Authority is excited to announce the return of the Chinese Lantern Festival to the holiday programming in Centennial Olympic Park. This year’s theme, entitled “INTO THE WILD” will feature handcrafted lanterns of over 25 different kinds of animals on both land and sea, including depictions of endangered species highlighting the importance of animal protection. Also new to the festival this year are our interactive lanterns that visitors can touch and experience up close. Craftsmen will have merchandise booths will all sorts of creations from edible sugar dragons to intricate Chinese paintings for you take home. Along with authentic Asian food selections, each night there will be exciting performances inside the festival, featuring acrobatics, dancers, theatre, and more.

Festival Operating Hours:

  • Sunday – Thursday 6:00pm – 10:00pm
  • Friday – Saturday 6:00pm – 11:00pm
